In a unexpected collaboration that breaks traditional predictions, Ubisoft has unveiled an virtual collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The narrative features a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to save her companion from a clandestine cult.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Metamorphoses
The teaser highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The preview concludes with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the mission will receive an special katana in addition to multiple artifacts hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
