Intensive Moscow's Strikes Disrupt Electricity Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in the region
The country's power facilities have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have resulted in power cuts in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Nine people were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were plunged into darkness and dealt with problems to drinking water, per reports from municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was fatally injured in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has increased strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while officials has requested "substantial measures" from partner nations to exert influence on Moscow.

"What's needed is not window dressing but firm measures - from the United States, Europe and the Group of Seven - in delivering protection systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a social media post.

Officials stated that 450 drones and several dozen missiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the assaults on the city have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Area administrators said the city endured intense attacks overnight. A minor was killed and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults come after evenings of air raids in the territory, parts of which remain under the control of Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is under warning for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are more difficult to spot.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already disrupting energy systems.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were preparing for additional strikes.
